Rifles & Ammunition

The age old discussion about the ultimate big game rifle will continue around campfires for decades to come. You can’t go wrong with a .375 H&H or anything in the .400’s. Double rifles in .470 and .500 are what you need for up close and personal hunting. Lighter calibres in .300 are ideal for plainsgame.

Safari Gear

Olives and dark gray colours are best for the bush preferably in a durable cotton that will be quiet and comfortable at all times. A good pair of leather boots with a rubber sole are quietest and most comfortable. Ammunition belts, binocular suspenders and hats will ensure you’re always able to move quickly and freely in the bush.

Well Being

Staying healthy before, during and after your hunt are key. Taking in plenty of fluids during the warm days and protecting yourself from the sun will aid in keeping your strength up. Malarial prohylaxis is essential as all our concessions are malarial areas, although with minimal incidence in the dry seasons.
